The "Think Jiu-Jitsu" game was not designed or created to teach any particular individual Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), nor was it intended to replace any instructor or proper instruction of BJJ. It was purposefully designed and created to serve as a teaching tool and aide for instructors and students who already possess some education and skill in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In addition, this game does not include all of the BJJ techniques currently practiced. Rather, this game is merely the first version or phase, which we commonly refer to as the fundamentals of BJJ. In the future, we hope to create additional versions to include more advanced and modern techniques. It is common knowledge that all schools teach BJJ differently as well as refer to techniques by different names. For example, an "Elbow Escape" is also known as "Shrimping" or "Hip Escape" and the "Ezekiel Choke" is also known as a "Sleeve Choke". Because of this, we tried to keep techniques as descriptive as possible. The illustrations depicted on the cards are to help you to generally recognize each technique, but they are in no way intended to limit the method in which each particular move or technique may be demonstrated. Included, are blank cards in each deck so that you may add your own Techniques, Positions, Scrambles, Pressure Levels, Trivia & Topics, etc. Our hope is that you will use this game and its contents to help you create your own particularized challenges and games in an effort keep the learning process fun and challenging for everyone. We welcome any feedback and suggestions for future products designed to serve the BJJ community. We hope that you and your students will enjoy the "Think Jiu-Jitsu" game in the spirit in which it was designed and created.
